Amy O’Banion
Firm Administrator
Amy brings a distinctive background shaped by her Texas roots and life experiences. Soon after graduation, Amy embarked on military life after marrying her high school sweetheart. During her husband's 16-year Navy career, she not only managed life as a military spouse and devoted stay-at-home mom but also served as an ombudsman, advocating for military families. Her adaptability and organizational skills flourished during these years, leading her to channel her entrepreneurial spirit into running a successful photography business for over a decade.
Amy's passion for helping others and deep love for animals guided her into rescue work, where she excelled as an adoption coordinator, expertly matching rescued animals with their perfect families while also fostering a few lovable pups along the way. This passion evolved into working at and eventually becoming a manager at multiple dog resorts before transitioning into professional dog training.
Fortuitously, Amy found Carey and SimpleLawTX. Since joining the team, Amy has grown alongside the firm, advancing to Firm Administrator while still maintaining her paralegal responsibilities. Her natural talent for organization, paired with her self-taught legal knowledge, ensures smooth firm operations. Drawing from her diverse background, she brings exceptional attention to detail and a service-focused approach to our client support.
Now based in New Mexico with her husband, Amy finds joy in the simplicity and beauty of the world around her, be it a beautiful landscape, majestic mountains, or just getting up early to chase the sun in search of an amazing sunrise. Outside of the office, Amy is a proud mother of two grown daughters and a devoted pet parent to two lovable pups. She finds joy in camping, traveling, exploring backroads, and capturing the beauty through her camera lens. Amy brings the same dedication to nurturing relationships at work as she does to cherishing life's simple pleasures at home.
